Sears electronic section is horrible!

Post Sears electronic section is horrible!
At my local Sears (located in a very popular mall), I went to purchase the 26" Samsung or Visio on ad. Not only did they not have any, they never received any! The employees just looked confused like they had never heard of a 26" tv. I watched other shoppers go up & ask the same question over & over again. How can it be in the Black Friday ad, but not received at the store. Isn't this false advertising!? Also, when I got home, I looked online & they were both in stock at that location. What the?!!! I ended up getting a 32" from Costco. They have a better warranty & return policy anyway.

Thank God you got a better deal - in my Sears there a lot of young kids working there, however, they would have known about the ad.

Confused I was looking at the Sears Sunday ads last night....from what I've been hearing, they are on the layoff/Ch.11 list of places not doing too well stock wise, yet their BF & sunday sales were crap....you've got mechanics getting laid off by the truckload so those guys are not likely to go spend what they've got left on high-priced "Craftsman" stuff...and the rest was just lacking horribly under WM, Target, CC & BB....these stores better wake up and grab some java 'cause the consumer speaks and it looks like Sears is a plane outta gas! Crying or Very sad

You should have been able to order it from Sears at the BF price. Granted you couldn't take it home with you and my order won't be in until the 16th, but at least I got it.
I didn't see anyone in electronics at our Sears walking out with anything. They were all ordering. Bad Sears!! Confused

I could've ordered it once I saw that it was available online & picked it up at the store. I was just so annoyed that no one in that dept. knew that their was a 26" tv on ad. They just told everyone no, they didn't know anything about it, then went on to the next customer. You'd think that people working on commission would be better informed & trying to make the sale.

Things happen for a reason. I got a bigger, better tv at Costco, for the same price.

If it's like Circuit City, a bankrupt company gets rid of *some* of its stock, then sells the rest to liquidators. Thus, there's not as much incentive for deep discounts.

Post The Worst Purchase I had in my life with Sears with 42in TV
I ordered the 42in Slyvania and delivery was supposed to be on Nov 29 and that was a lie.
I spoke to more then 12 people and no help there I got the run around was told 8 different stories and none of them were correct.
My purchase was placed on hold and I washung up on 2 times and told my tv did not make it on the delivery truck at the warehouse and more bs.
I will never buy from sears again. I waited 5 yrs for a hdtv and this is the customer service I got. Finally I got the answer to what happened to the tv I had to go throught the fraud department and everything. Dialied more then 4 800 numbers and was placed on forever hold only to be told we cant refund the shipping charge even though your tv was sceduled for that day. GRRR. I was so hot after all this. I was then told its scehd. for another day Im not even home so I had to change the shipping date myself by calling another #. All I got out of it was a 20.00 refund they can stick that 20.00 after all of this I will never buy anything from them again. You only get one chance to burn me. I dont care if they send it all for free they can keep it Im fed up.

I would advise never to order from sears.com online no matter how good the price looks!!!
Thanks for listening to me vent
Mad
